Ivins City Council – IN IT FOR IVINS
I appreciate the on-going support from the Ivins Community. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on the City Council and to work with the mayor, city employees and other council members.
My Purpose and Focus:
A main purpose and focus of mine as a city council member is to generate more community involvement and interest in the decisions being made for our city which will affect us both in the short term and long term.
Our challenge and my commitment:
Preserving our natural assets and sense of community while incorporating responsible growth.
We need to:
-Update our General Plan and ordinances to ensure smart sustainable growth
-Develop a water usage plan based on realistic future water availability for Ivins and all of Washington County
-Pursue attainable housing options for young families and retirees that fit within exisiting neighborhood
-Protect our open spaces and night sky
