Below I have outlined an effective tool available to you via the Ivins City website (www.ivinsutah.gov) to assist you in your research on specific topics and how city council members voted. You can do your search by the name of the city council member and/or by specific topics, such as SITLA, lighting ordinance, land use amendments or Hidden Springs..
First visit Ivins City website at: www.ivinsutah.gov. Once on the homepage click on the “Government” tab.
About half way down on the “Government” page you will notice “Agendas & Minutes” (includes a photo of the game of Scrabble). Click on that.
This will take you to ivins.granicus.com. Below “Upcoming events,”. You will see “Search Archives,” and it will prompt you to “enter keywords here.” By entering a city council members’ name you can review attendance and their participation on agenda items at city council meetings. You can also enter a topic such as: SITLA, lighting ordinance, land use amendments or Hidden Springs. You can then review the discussions on these topics and how each city council member voted (if a vote was taken).
It may take a minute or two to get accustomed to this process but it is a great resource that is always there for your use.
